Rostov NPP

The Rostov NPP is one of the largest energy providers in the South of Russia. This is the southernmost of the Russian NPPs. The plant provides 40% of power generation in the Rostov Region. Electricity is supplied from the Rostov NPP via five transmission lines-500 to the Volgograd and Rostov Regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, and via two transmission lines-220 to Volgodonsk.

The distance to the satellite city (Volgodonsk) is 16 km; to the regional center (Rostov-on-Don) is 250 km.

The Rostov NPP belongs to a series of unified NPP designs with VVER-1000 that meet the requirements of line production construction. The whole capacity of the NPP was intended for the needs of the united power system of the North Caucasus.
